A Sharper Dave!
Dave is back and brilliant! You might not get all the raunchiness that your teen-aged self would want, but you laugh. You'll say Dave is right, Right On! Highly recommend for Chappelle fans and non-Chappelle fans.
Haters gonna hate ...
Wow ... Dave is back, baby! Dave continues to keep it real and raw w/o being too vindictive and spiteful. He doesn't spare anyone's feelings, yet, he still manages to make it a positive experience. He's a real master of his craft. Btw, pay no mind to the other reviewers (haters). They're probably Trumpets, who want us all to hate on each other. Dave hasn't fallen off, he's always touched upon "social justice" matters in his shows, whether it's police brutality or transgender issues. Real Chappelle "fans" would know and appreciate this, and not bitch about it afterwards. Warning: If you're offended by scenes of people of all colours, creeds, and sexual persuasions laughing and having a good time together ... then don't watch! Simple.
This man is a living legend
For all the people criticising him for being too political or too straightforward: At one point in the show he precisely addresses these people for being sensible and sulky. Great comedy is supposed to offend everyone and anyone. And Chappelle is a grandiose comedian of our time.
Funny
I enjoyed this show a lot. I am a big fan of all of Dave Chappelle's comedy. He has to be one of the best stand up comedians in the world. The jokes are well written and well executed. Honestly this is not his best show, but, I would argue this is still better than anything 90% of all other stand ups shows. My only real criticism is when he gets political and talks about social justice. I do not have to agree with him about everything to find him funny, but, there were a few times where I wished he would move on and get back to the jokes. On the whole, it is really funny and if you are a fan you will probably enjoy it.
Best of his recent Netflix resurgence
Equanimity is relevant, deep, and modern. I thought his first two were ok... but this one seemed truly composed and prepared. If made you laugh and shared a message at the same time.
