Georgina's life story is told with as much respect by the filmmakers as there is honesty from Georgina herself. Georgie Girl is an ideal film for the many straight and gay people in the world who have muddled (or downright negative) notions of what it is to be transgender. Georgina speaks from an empowered perspective, but it is the observations of friends, associates and especially her constituents which confirm the message of social & personal responsibility, love and integrity. This is a moving and joyous biography - made all the more entertaining through top class cinematography and editing. Georgina is a trooper - and an inspiration to women and men alike.
