If this was the remake with budget, how bad was the original?
As the summary says, if this is the better version with a budget, i dread to think how bad the original was. I actually wondered if i was watching the original, its Absolutely shockingly bad, do not waste your time, bad acting, bad effects, well bad everything. I watched a good portion of the film hoping it would get better, but no it doesn't, so i turned it off. Cant believe i paid £5.50 for this.
Trite themes and horrible acting
This movie is absolutely terrible. Do not waste your time watching it. The acting is atrocious and the story line has been done a thousand times over. It is basically a poor man's amityville horror. I would write a longer review, but this movie is not even worth a second more of my time; that is how bad it is.
I Died
The film opens with a man killing his wife and child. We find out later he killed himself with a gun, which didn't make much sense considering the plot. A family subsequently moves into the house and it isn't long for the evil spirits to come out. It seems this guy named Lucifer works out of a shack on Elm Lake. There is a book with a leather cover made to look old....as old as Polaroids. The spiritualist didn't fit into the plot very well. In addition to this guy Lucifer causing issues, the family has its own problems as they are attempting to start over. This looks like a film I have seen a half dozen times before. The characters and dialogue needs to step up in these me-too satanic house hauntings. Poorly written script. Guide: F-word, sex, nudity.
Old ideas, new second rate actors
The story starts of okay, if not predictable. Following the theme of doomed homes'past murders here, DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS HOUSE'. Unfortunately after 10 minutes of the movie, the house has new tenants. The actors/actresses from the start are of a very poor standard. It does not improve. They seem like they are part of a haunted house reality program on daytime television and should really rethink their careers. There are some moments that make you jump, but only because the music gets louder. Without using spoilers, this film progresses into nothing after an Amityville style beginning. If you watch the first 10 minutes and have a feeling of DeJa Vu. Then no need to continue with the movie as you have already seen the plot, film beginning and end. But, most probably with better actors in scores of other movies.

It was poorly produced, poorly directed, the movie is the worst. I wish I could get back the 26.4 minutes it took from my life. I felt like it was going to turn into a low budget porno movie, right before I almost pulled out my eyelashes from the acting that caused twitching in both my eyes. Hope this is helpful. If you're into self torture, go for it. If you value your time and your self worth, skip it. Ok bye
