Katt Williams: American Hustle (2007) Reviews
A cult classic road-trip comedy! A collector's item.
This movie is hilarious!!!!! The best performance of Katt Williams ever, he is so on his game. The entire cast is classic, and it is definitely a collectors item. I've never laughed so hard. The guy is the best comic out there. Love the road trip and seeing Katt bust chops. Seems to me they caught lightning in a bottle here!! Ton of cool cameos and music appearances. Written well and great production. Katt Williams is truly the king of underground comedy. Feels like your watching him live and the experience had me crying. I loved Luenell, Red and Melanie's stand-up too. Can't wait to see more of them. For a follow up to the Pimp Chronicles, this movie delivers.
Horrible
I realize that much like any sequel, katt had a lot to live up to. I STILL have pimp chronicles saved on my dvr and will never erase it if I can help it however, he completely missed the boat w/this one. It was essentially the same 'story line', Michael Jackson, Shaq etc. etc. just different jokes, and not even funny ones at that. We got so bored we started paying attention to whether or not the audience was even responding and but for a few big moments, they weren't. What a waste of $24.99...not to mention the sound on the DVD was screwed up, the volume kept going up and down and my poor dog kept trying to run out of the house as if someone were blowing a dog whistle for an hour and a half. I'm so disappointed. I wonder what Virgin Mega Store's return policy is.
