Navy Seals vs. Zombies (2015) Reviews

  • Horrible film

Navy Seals vs. Zombies (English) 1/10 Genre: Action/Horror/real crap Director: Stanton Barrett Cast: Ed Quinn, Mikal Vega, Damon Lipari, Michael Dudikoff Year: 2015 I don't know who makes this kind of crap and even bigger question, why did I watch it? I guess only because of Michael Dudikoff as it's his comeback film after 10 years although his screen time is not more than 5-10 mins. I have seen a lot of bad films but this one is a whole new level of bad film, it's like the Ben Hur of crappy films. Normally I don't like to criticize films no matter how bad they are as an appreciation for the people who put in their hard work but this one surely doesn't deserve any. Two minutes into the film and I knew I made a huge mistake of watching this one. I felt asleep ( I swear to God I did) and only if I didn't have this principle to finish a film once I start watching it no matter how bad it is I would have never dared to complete this film and turns out to be the most painful experience I ever had and I was desperately waiting for it to finish. Acting, direction, story, editing, sound and everything else is horrible and I think the best part of the film was it's trailer. Just to give you an idea of what's in the plot, Five Navy Seals go on a rescue mission to save the Vice President of the United States in a town infested by Zombies. I mean really, you will just send five guys with one chopper (not sure how did they manage to got the chopper) to rescue the Vice President of US. The Zombie make up was laughable, I have seen better make up in my office during Halloween, acting was worse than a Kindergarten play and...Forget it, it will go on and on. Stanton Barrett who is some stunt guy should stick to doing stunts or should seriously take a crash course in film direction before his next film. The actors were more painful but It was good to see Michael Dudikoff, not for his acting or anything, he even had this stupid scar oh his face to make him kinda look bad ass. If you love Dudikoff and miss him on screen re-watch American Ninja or any of his previous films till he comes out with any decent one. This is not a review, this a warning message to stay away from this film as I have already suffered and don't want others to go through the pain.

  • Worst zombie movie ever!

    ace_ventura-696542015-11-16

This movie is horrible in every aspect. I mean, how low could that budget have been? Please get a loan or something and at least put some good zombie makeup!! Special effects like fire look like they made it up with a phone movie editor app. Zombies look like my friends at Halloween with hand made makeup.. Navy seals look like they ate 10 times at McDonald's before they filmed.. Please get in shape!!! I am so upset for wasting almost 2 hours of my life!. Please save your time and if you like Zombie films go watch the walking dead or something like it. This truly sucks!

  • Fat and Overweight Navy Seals

    stanrogersmith2016-07-04

Saw this on Netflix. Thought I'd give it a chance. BIG mistake! I'll admit upfront that I only lasted 32 minutes watching this awfulness. The "best of the best" Navy Seals, huh? These dudes look like they should be headed to fat camp instead of a rescue mission. I think I even saw one of them eating some cheesecake before suiting up for the mission! Dudikoff looks old and that scar they put on him to give him military bad-ass credibility just looked ridiculous. Ed Quinn seemed to be phoning it in, and rightfully so. I too would give a perfunctory performance and then go cash my paycheck and head to the nearest bar and get blind stinking drunk to forget that I agreed to do this movie. The zombies were outright ridiculous and somehow have superman strength as that one broke loose of his handcuffs. Awful production, awful effects, awful script, awful directing, awful acting. I didn't watch it all, but hopefully they made the young TV reporter do a gratuitous booty shot. Probably not. My advice - watch water boil instead of watching this movie. You'll be better entertained.

  • Don't watch it. It's really bad. No redeeming features.

    onleybl2016-04-10

The premise has potential. A zombie film where the protagonists aren't preposterously incompetent. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver. The "elite Navy seals" are out of shape. This is supposed to be the best of the navy seals, but they send in a team with a new member having some issues fitting in, to extract the Vice President. They are uncharacteristically reluctant to shoot rabid attacking zombies, even when ordered to. There are blatant continuity issues. The dialogue was atrocious at points: "There's a suspicious suspect"?! They still make some ridiculous decisions, for example there was the "let's split up and look for clues" style trope. The acting was awful for the most part. Not the worse I've seen though. Audio levels are poor too, at one point the music was louder than the dialogue, making it hard to understand the actors batman impression. Having said this, it's not bad in terms of content for a "low budget film". There are shots of helicopters, jets, cars rolling, some relatively authentic looking sets and locations. I presume the majority of these are stock footage. Apparently one of the actors is someone I might of heard of too. The money would have been better spent on the script, editing, and direction though. Not bed enough to be good. It isn't laughably bad... For the most part. Better content by amateurs on you tube. Don't watch it. Really. Don't watch it.

  • Could have been such better

    phillip-henry2015-11-01

The premise is OK but the director and some of the acting really lets it down. Some of the "Navy Seals" we a bit out of shape. In the opening scene the Seals were going on some mission and firing their guns but there was nobody to shoot at, it appears the director just wanted to use some special effects. Ed Quinn and Stephanie Honoure are far too good as actors to be in these kind of movies but I suppose we all gotta pay the bills. It a Sunday afternoon wasting some time, having a beer kind of movie. The Director should really have stayed racing cars and being a stuntman. The make up for the zombies was poor in fact I can't think of 1 redeeming feature, Poor script, poor acting, poor Directing, but I still watched it! I think that says more about me than the movie lol
