This movie is about a young Muslim girl Shaahina (Meera Jasmine) who is forced to marry an old man of 35 years who already has a wife and kid, while still completing her 10th standard! Shaahina tries to protest but the local Mullah and her uncle and mother forces her to marry the old man. The old man then drugs and rapes her. When Shaahina realizes this she is shattered. The old man then gives her Talak (divorce). Shaahina is delighted that she will be able to go to school. But soon it ends when she realizes that she is pregnant. Her mother dies when she hears the news. Shaahina is left all alone and soon delivers the baby. This movie is a must watch for those who love quality art films. Meera Jasmine excels with her performance once again, and makes her character life-like. She is the lone highlight in this movie.
