Could Have Been So Good
Yet.... I am unsure what agenda this movie was driving. It was perhaps hinting at an ill father, sitting in the hospital. A romance between two unlikely characters based on a common love for a certain piece of literature turns a bizarre turn when the male character asks the female character to cut her hair. It is as if the director is an old grandmother (which may be who knows?). This just after we see a patient, the man's mother who is old and has short hair and the woman's mother who is also older and has short hair. The whole movie I was admiring the cute and sexy long hair on the main actress and boom! The man asks her to cut it. Was he having mommy issues? Or was he closeted? By the end of the film he has longer hair than her. very weird. At least, she had fine legs. I am surprised he didn't ask her to dress like his mother and wear loose pants!! Strangely conflicted film that could have been cute and pretty, as well as send a good message. Do not order the DVD.
Good enough
A good story, with interesting theme, but really bad ending. Because of that, and some other points where they simply just forgot to explain things and just let everything go with the story (eg shouldn't the girl ask him why he was with someone else and whether they were a couple or not??) Anyway, part from the bad, the movie had a nice love story, good performances and a touching theme, with the girl really presenting a person with hearing disability and how she was affected by the others around her. Still, the ending was too simple.
