Alain Chabat always makes good movies!
Santa & Cie is the new film from Alain Chabat. He comes back with light jokes, funny, and adapted for the family, including kids. The story is interesting, full of situations where you say « Oh non, c'est Pas possible! »! Santa & Cie is a family comedy to watch with a cup of hot chocolate, cookies and a blanket.
It´s good, but not that good.
Santa & Cie is a typical French christmas movie. With children, Santa Claus, and, obviously, a good message for kids. I thought the movie was very funny, with jokes for all family, including kids, altough some jokes were kind of forced. I think the funnier jokes were the ones that joked about the few logic the movie had, making us understand that the movie knows it has 0 logic, and we should just enjoy, as I did. The acting was pretty good, but the movie dragged itself to get 1 hour and a half long, when it seemed it was 3 hours long. In resume, Santa & Cie is not a masterpiece, but it doens´t need to be. It´s a funny christmas movie for all the family.
Love it, A different perspective of Santa
It's nice to see how santa deals with today's world and how to problem solve and keep children happy. I love the magical powers santa have. Alain chabat is an amazing director & actor plus the visual effects were amazing and beautiful. As a non speaking french woman, the English version of Santa & Cie was one of my fave films. Just wish it was shown in Singapore theatres .....
It exceeded my expectations :)
With a promising trailer, I was hoping to be able to add this movie to my list of favorite Christmas movies (Home Alone 1 & 2, Christmas with the Kranks, The Grinch, Love the Coopers and a few more). Well, now, the movie became one of my favorite and has been added to the annual tradition! Enjoy the fun-tastic christmassy movie !
