Straight-laced, type-A personality Joy Miles has to take an unscheduled road trip to drive her forgetful, yet opinionated, mother-in-law, Loraine, from Louisville, Kentucky to Savannah, Georgia. Although initially impatient and frustrated, Joy begins to realize her true affection for Loraine as she takes a front-seat-view of how this strong-willed yet free-spirited woman manages the emotional transition of learning to live life after losing her spouse. Despite their many differences, and with light-hearted adventures at every turn, they discover how much they respect and even need each other.

Loved it.
I thought this was a great great film and the two primary female actors were positively incredible. They aced it. Perfect everything, perfect facial expressions and body language, it was a perfect connection between the two of them. Perfect, perfect. The husband was awesome, too. I truly appreciated everything about the film. Kudos to everyone involved. I know there is a crew behind the scenes who help make the magic happen. Thank you to all.
well worth watching
A lovely film dealing gently with ageing. Moments of brilliant humour abounded, and sorry the film had to end. Pamela Reed as Loraine played her part beautifully, and just shows how the more mature actors/actresses who have learned their craft over decades, are ultimately more watchable than some of the younger actors/actresses at Hallmark who squeal and screech their way through their characterisations. Watch and learn you younger ones, watch and learn.
Wholesome, clean, family movie ...
I had hoped, as the description indicates, this would be a moving family film with an inspiring message central to a family road trip (e.g. exploring the mother-daughter dynamic)...and it did! Though it fell light on content, I did "feel" something--anger, humor, relief. What pleased me most was that a captivating film was made devoid of sexual encounters, obscene language and offensive gimmicks to lure viewers. An enjoyable movie can be made without those features! Bravo!
