I have never laughed so hard my entire life as I did when I sat down and began watching this movie for the first time. But that's why it blew me away; I didn't stop laughing until the movie was completely over. My jaw hurt, my belly ached, but I didn't care because it was worth it to kill myself laughing for this masterpiece of comedy. First let me just say that this isn't just a "movie", this is something completely different, completely new. Some people don't seem to understand. These aren't just "washed up comedians" or whatever people think. This is an actual group of trailer park people that do live with each other in real life, but somehow Giuseppe Andrews (director) managed to get them to act in all of his movies. And they pull off what they are supposed to with more perfection then Tori Amos sings her own songs. The story unfolds slowly, dealing with the Trailer Town's people who are being evicted, but they love their town so they're going to fight for it, no matter what it takes. But the honest truth is, who cares about the story. That's not what makes this movie so amazing. It's all in the DIALOGUE and the actors and actresses themselves, and the way they deliver the lines. An extremely old man named O-Henry with obvious mental issues mistakes a small pile of feces for a woman whom he believes he is sharing a date with. An old wrinkled bitter and senile man who resembles a bulldog gets angry and goes off about how he wants his ashes in a beer can when he dies. A seemingly homeless hippie-bum whose face looks like it is rotting away recites poems about when he made love to a sweet girl by the pool while a servant fed them papaya. A run-of-the-mill white trash man with a mullet and a moustache shares with us how badly he feels the need to get behind the wheel while being highly intoxicated and how important he thinks it is. And this is just within the first 10 minutes. The magic behind Trailer Town is in the vibe it presents. It feels unlike any other film I've ever seen. Behind it's blatant presentation of vulgarities and dirty texts, it provides a strange glowing INNOCENCE, making it feel like something you'll want to show ALL of your friends, and somehow it seems acceptable. With the obvious ultimate combination of the twisted mind of Giuseppe Andrews and the group of "actors" he found...whether it be Billy, Walt Dongo, or Chief Stan...it doesn't matter. They are all doing something INCREDIBLE here. In conclusion, this entire movie is like what you would get if you threw a modern poetry novel into a blender, along with the brain of a dirty-minded 15 year old boy, and a bunch of diarrhea...but the best diarrhea you ever heard of. Diarrhea that makes people want to be a part of it. I give it the crown. Most original and hilarious thing I have ever seen.

  • A triumph of independent cinema!

I've watched thousands of bad movies. B-movies. Artsy movies. Hollywood propaganda. Why do I think Trailer Town is different? It's fresh. It's ridiculous. It doesn't even try to pretend like it has a place in your DVD player. It's so uncool that it's cool to the highest degree. How many movies do you know of that have a fecal fetish, a foul-mouthed poet, and people reading lines one at a time off cue cards for a bottle of whiskey? It's truly amazing in its simplicity, and it made me want to pursue a career in film, oddly enough. If this guy can just string together a bunch of shocking nonsense and put some sped-up music to it and make me laugh so hard that I almost have an aneurysm, then why can't I do the same thing? I love the old guy, Billy. He's a pro. And Stanley's poem about anal sex is brilliant. What a gift. This movie is the best kept secret in America. Enjoy!

  • Strickly for people who think the only good movies a bad movie.

Guiseppi Andrews brings a to a place called Trailer Town. A Place full of trashy trailer dwelling drunks and sickos, like O Henry for example who likes to make love to his own feces {The Best Scene in the movie} but like most independent films it's plot is about as thick as it's budget. The film's a riot for the 30 minutes or so then you begin to notice that the dialog doesn't stray from the subject of filthy language and tired jokes. So if your a fan of Gummo or Julien Donkey Boy, or any other Harmony Korine films. you'll love this. But I'm not completely putting it down. It was fun to watch once. I personally couldn't sit through it again, and enjoy it as much as the first time. If you're easily offended don't bother, but if you love drunks, perverts, dirty old lady's,men who make love to their own bodily waste,or Troma. You'll love it

  • The worst of the worst

The only positive thing I can think of regarding this utter piece of garbage is that now I finally have a good answer ready if anyone ever asks me what the worst movie I ever saw was called. It would have taken such little effort to make it more watchable...a lot more effort and it could have been brilliant even. Why would anyone want to produce such waste? I refuse to believe that a director could be so ridiculously untalented. Making a completely intolerable movie must have been the point. Anything else just doesn't make sense.

  • how many versions can you think of saying f***ing, d**k & c**t?

this movie is about people living at a trailerpark. later in the movie it gets obvious that those people are out-of-work comedians, mainly old males. well, more or less they sit around the whole movie and talk about f***ing. but never there is any action, just those people talking. in the beginning I thought it's some cool perverted redneck-stuff, but after a while it got boring. I mean, how many versions can you think of saying f***ing, d**k & c**t? for sure, this can be funny - for half an hour maybe, not 80 minutes. but it was funny to watch those people trying to act. I'm pretty sure that they often were reading their text on some sheet when playing. but it does not disturb the movie, it's cool like this. because those individuals seem so poor, f***ed-up, crestfallen a***oles that the style totally fits. their wooden, helpless reading of the texts makes quite good atmosphere, I fell in love with the characters a little. ***SPOILER AHEAD*** later in the movie the f***ers do some comedy-shows (rhymes about f***ing) with just themselves as audience and imagined applause. then one gets an eviction-advice and so they decide to defend the trailer park and enter their roofs - armed with some weapons. then they got shoot. fin. sounds like action, but it's not. just some trashy home-camera takes. ***SPOILER END*** but the movie is totally consequent in it's style and I'm pretty sure it's just what the movie-maker wanted to have. it's the portrait of those f**k-ups in an groggy home-camera style with characters who can not act but seem interesting personalities so they are nice to watch. but the texts about - you know what - the whole time get boring after a while. pretty young director who also seems an interesting person, as he played some teenager-stuff in popular movies/TV-series but now got in more horror-movies which is more his cup of tea I guess. and this, his first direction-effort will be distributed by troma now. don't know anything about a release, I got this one as an "advance screener" from this years cannes which says "for bootlegging purposes only".
